Open Letter to the Prez
Faithful reader and frequent commenter Old Nate takes the president to task in a comment on our article announcing the new format of Sten Gazette. It doesn’t really fit as a comment, seeming to be more a “letter to the editor,” but worthy of publication in its own right.
Nate, Old Geezer. Army says:
Back off, George Dubya. You got political power and capital. You use your domination to destroy any opposition and to give away public property to profit-making friends. Both actions are immoral, though not yet criminal. Go buy yourself some maturity and grow up. We cannot afford more of your stupid mistakes.
We know from previous correspondence that Nate is a WW-II veteran, so it may be significant that his comment was received on Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend. Only Nate knows why he sent this now, but the mystery is part of its charm and the reason for publishing it.
